Spendid Farms, a trusted partner within the agri-food industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. Based in our New York, New York, United States office, this is a Full-time position crucial to the smooth running of our daily operations. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for all IT-related queries, providing technical assistance and ensuring our systems and networks are maintained to the highest standard. You will play a vital role in supporting our staff and contributing to the overall efficiency of our organisation.


Responsibilities


* Serve as the first point of contact for staff seeking technical assistance over the phone, via email, or in person.

* Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.

* Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.

* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in line with company policy.

* Respond to service issues and requests in a timely and professional manner.

* Document technical issues and their resolutions for future reference and to build a knowledge base.

* Assist with the onboarding of new users, providing them with the necessary equipment and IT induction.

* Support the implementation of new IT projects and technologies.


Qualifications


* Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar technical support role.

* Strong knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and other technology products.

* Familiarity with both PC and Mac hardware and software.

* Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and networking protocols (TCP/IP).

* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with an ability to explain complex issues in a clear, non-technical manner.

* A customer-oriented and patient approach to all support tasks.

* A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is desirable but not essential.

* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a significant advantage.
