IT Support Specialist Level I/II

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Level 1/Level 2 IT Support Specialist to join our team. This is a hybrid role that combines remote help desk support with regular on-site client visits. The ideal candidate will be a patient and clear communicator with foundational IT troubleshooting skills.

What you’ll do

  • Helpdesk Support (L1/L2): Provide remote and on-site technical support for client hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • System Administration: Assist in managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server environments (e.g., Windows Server 2022), Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Configure, install, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls (experience with SonicWall is a strong plus).
  • Hardware Deployment: Assist with setting up, configuring, and deploying workstations, peripherals, and server room equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client networks, configurations, and ticket resolutions in our system.
  • Client Relations: Communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical end-users while delivering excellent customer service.

Basic qualifications

  • Proficient in technical support principles with a strong understanding of computer management practices.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. You must be patient, empathetic, and able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and their troubleshooting techniques.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic troubleshooting principles.
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 operating systems and the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi).
  • Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and handle a dynamic schedule.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and obtain new technical certifications (which we will support!).
  • Required: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with low-voltage cabling (running/terminating CAT5e/CAT6, mounting WAPs or cameras) is a significant plus.
  • Experience in managing mobile devices within an enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPO) for system configuration management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
