Job Description
Summary
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support to end users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and managing the procurement of IT equipment and services. This role includes troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and coordinating purchasing activities to support the organization’s technology needs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
[Technical Support]

Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.

Respond to support tickets, diagnose problems, and implement solutions in a timely manner.

Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment and software.

Conduct training sessions for staff on IT systems and best practices.
[System Maintenance]

Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of IT infrastructure, including Laptop, desktop, networks, and workstations.

Perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks.

Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
[Documentation and Reporting]

Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Generate reports on IT support activities, inventory levels, and purchasing metrics.

Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
[Vendor Management]

Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors and service providers.

Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and support of IT systems.
[Purchasing]

Manage the procurement process for IT equipment, software, and services.

Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier information.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment of IT supplies.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of IT systems, hardware, and software.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and IT support tools.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Occasional lifting of IT equipment and supplies.
Preferred Education & Experience:
-
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity with network and security management.
Salary: $27 -$30/hr. (D.O.E)
Working Conditions: Office setting, some walking and standing within and between buildings.
Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Expected Start Date: Negotiable
