Intuitive Machines is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our enterprise IT infrastructure in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This role is responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable systems that support mission-critical engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations teams. The ideal candidate thrives in highly technical environments, understands compliance requirements, and can balance user support with long-term infrastructure strategy.

Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and virtualization platforms.

Manage enterprise storage systems, backups, disaster recovery solutions, and business continuity planning.

Maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions.

Support cybersecurity initiatives in alignment with NIST 800-171, CMMC, and other government compliance frameworks.

Provision, configure, and maintain user endpoints (workstations, laptops, engineering systems).

Administer and support Microsoft 365 (Office 365) environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.

Support secure enclaves and controlled unclassified information (CUI) environments.

Collaborate with engineering teams to support specialized software environments (CAD, simulation tools, mission operations systems).

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Manage cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.

Develop and maintain IT documentation including system architecture diagrams, SOPs, and configuration baselines.

Participate in on-call rotation to support mission-critical operations as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in systems administration in a corporate or technical environment.

Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V).

Experience managing Linux systems in enterprise environments.

Experience administering Microsoft 365 (Office 365), including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Azure AD/Entra ID.

Proficiency supporting Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) in an enterprise environment.

Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).

Experience with endpoint management and patching systems.

Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government security clearance.

Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or government-contracted environments.

Familiarity with CMMC, NIST 800-171, or ITAR-controlled environments.

Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and enterprise device management.

Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools (Defender, Purview, Conditional Access policies).

Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).

Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam or similar platforms.

Industry certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, Microsoft, VMware, or CISSP).
