IT Systems Engineer - II

Job Summary

CISO Global is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer (Level II) to join our Secure Managed Services (MSSP) team. This role supports a variety of customer environments and requires strong troubleshooting ability, customer communication skills, and the ability to take ownership of technical issues through resolution.

As an IT Systems Engineer within our Managed Services division, you will support and maintain the technical infrastructure of our clients including desktops, laptops, servers, network devices, and mobile platforms across Windows, macOS, and Android environments.

This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy working in a fast-paced MSP environment, collaborating with peers, and continuing to grow their technical skillset while supporting real-world production environments.

Successful candidates in this role are proactive problem solvers who take ownership of issues, communicate clearly with customers, and remain accountable for seeing problems through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Remote Management

  • Utilize Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools to proactively monitor and maintain client systems.
  • Identify and remediate issues before they impact end users when possible.

Ticket Management

  • Efficiently manage and resolve technical incidents and service requests through the ticketing system.
  • Maintain strong documentation, ticket hygiene, and clear communication with customers and team members.

End-User Technical Support

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and end-user software issues.
  • Support Windows, macOS, and Android environments.

Server Administration

  • Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server roles including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and File and Print Services.
  • Assist with server maintenance, patching, and general system health monitoring.

Identity & Access Management

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 tenant services with focus on identity, access control, and security configuration.

Email Security

  • Manage and support enhanced email security solutions to protect client environments from phishing and malicious threats.

Deployment & Imaging

  • Create and maintain system images and deploy hardware and software for new and existing users.

Vulnerability Remediation

  • Identify system vulnerabilities and assist with remediation efforts to maintain security and compliance standards.

Application Support

  • Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 applications and common business software used by client environments.

Exchange Administration

  • Manage mailbox configurations, permissions, and user lifecycle tasks within Microsoft Exchange environments.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Preferred 3+ years in Level I or Level II IT support roles, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Experience supporting small to mid-size business infrastructures is highly beneficial.

Technical Proficiency

  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals including DNS, DHCP, VPN connectivity, and endpoint troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with ticketing systems and RMM platforms is a plus.

Security Mindset

  • Demonstrated commitment to following security best practices and supporting security-focused environments.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical issues into clear explanations for non-technical users.

Problem Solving

  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a structured and efficient manner.

Certifications

  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, or other industry credentials are advantageous but not required.

Work Environment

  • Candidates must reside in Arizona and be able to work onsite in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.
  • This role operates in a hybrid work model, typically consisting of approximately 50% remote work and 50% onsite support at client locations or our corporate office.
  • Engineers work collaboratively with other technical team members while also taking ownership of assigned support tasks.
