Summary:
The IT Systems Manager role demands a candidate with a robust technical foundation in systems architecture and administration, complemented by strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities. Exceptional analytical thinking, problem-solving proficiency, and superior written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by staying current with emerging industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to information systems personnel.
- Review, implement, update, and document companywide information systems policies and procedures.
- Direct day-to-day operations and maintenance of the firm’s information systems.
- Collaborate with network engineers, architects and other team members on the implementation, testing, deployment and integration of information systems.
- Provide reports to IT management regarding information system performance, utilization and compliance.
- Manage and mentor a staff of information systems engineers.
- Make recommendations to the Executive Management team on protocols and processes for keeping the information systems optimized and secure.
- Participating in the annual budget process. Manage departmental expenses.
- Uphold the company's drug-free, tobacco-free, and nicotine-free policies within the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 7-10 years of IT systems management experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of previous leadership experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and applicable government regulations.
- Familiarity with compliance standards, cybersecurity protocols, and enterprise IT best practices.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments and vendors.
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. infrequently.
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field is preferred, commensurate experience will be considered.
- Must hold at least two current certifications from the following list (not all are required): Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert), Microsoft 365 Administrator, or VCAP (VMware Certified Advanced Professional).
