Clearance: Active DoD Secret Clearance

Work Schedule: This position will be located in San Diego, CA, and will be an entirely onsite position. Monday-Friday, Fulltime.

Role Overview:

The IT Systems Training Instructor plans, develops, and implements technical system training programs for CIWT/IWTC students. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized, and new system modules. Prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs system demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities.

Specific Skillset

  • Deliver formal training on Government-developed curriculum for Navy IT and communication systems at CIWT training sites using Government-provided Technical Training Equipment (TTE).
  • Prepare for and conduct instruction across assigned courseware, ensuring compliance with CIWT standards.
  • Submit CIWT Course Completion Reports within 5 days of course conclusion.
  • Support technical training management tasks, including:
    • Curriculum Development and Maintenance
    • Training Schedules and POAMs
    • Reporting and Metrics
    • Navy Training System Plan (NTSP) support
    • Participation in training meetings and data calls
  • Provide TTE technical support, including:
    • IAVA updates and system re-baselining
    • Troubleshooting and circuit board diagnostics
    • Lab setup/normalization pre- and post-course
    • Curriculum reviews and redline input for updates
    • Submitting and tracking Remedy trouble tickets
  • Maintain readiness of lab environments and instructional delivery systems (e.g., MRTS 3D for JCC)
  • Participate in Remedy ticketing and TTE lifecycle support
Requirements:

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Experience Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience and formal military training on systems listed below
  • Completion of formal instructor training (e.g., Navy Instructor Training Course or equivalent)
  • Experience in both classroom and lab environments
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality technical instruction and support
  • Familiarity with curriculum lifecycle management and Navy training documentation standards

Preferred Experience Requirements

  • Experience working in formal Navy training environments (CIWT or similar)
  • Familiarity with CeTARS, eNTRS, and Remedy systems
  • Demonstrated ability to provide TTE lifecycle support and curriculum input
