IT Teacher
The IT Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in information technology, computer science, and digital literacy. This role involves planning lessons, assessing student performance, integrating technology into the curriculum, and supporting students in developing practical technical skills needed for academic and career success.
Teaching & Instruction
- Deliver engaging lessons in IT subjects such as computer fundamentals, programming, networking, cybersecurity, and software applications.
- Develop and update lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments according to curriculum standards.
- Conduct practical lab sessions to reinforce theoretical concepts.
Student Support
- Monitor student progress and provide guidance, mentoring, and academic support.
- Evaluate and grade assignments, projects, and exams.
- Encourage safe, responsible, and ethical use of technology.
Curriculum & Classroom Management
- Maintain an organized, safe, and technology-rich learning environment.
- Keep computer labs and equipment functional, updated, and secure.
- Integrate digital tools and educational software to enhance learning.
Professional Collaboration
- Work with colleagues to improve curriculum delivery and coordinate interdisciplinary projects.
- Participate in faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and support staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification (depending on region or institution requirements).
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, programming languages, and educational technologies.
- Effective classroom management and communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience teaching IT or related subjects.
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity fundamentals, and productivity tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware/software issues.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools.
