Job Title: IT Teacher (Grade 6–8)
Reports To: Academic Coordinator / Principal

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled IT Teacher to teach Grades 6–8 in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, effective classroom management skills, and a passion for developing digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and 21st-century competencies in students.

Key Responsibilities -Teaching & Learning

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured and engaging computer science/IT lessons as per CBSE guidelines.
  • Teach essential topics including:
  • MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basics of Programming and Coding (Scratch, Python/Block-based Coding preferred)
  • ICT skills and responsible digital behaviour
  • Internet safety, digital research skills, and computer fundamentals (software, hardware, networks, OS basics)
  • Design age-appropriate practical assignments, activities, and projects to enhance technology-based learning.

Assessment & Reporting

  • Evaluate and document student progress through assignments, practical assessments, notebooks, classwork, and periodic tests.
  • Prepare question papers, answer keys, and maintain accurate assessment records.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents when required.

Classroom & Student Management

  • Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independent learning.
  • Ensure safe handling and responsible use of computer laboratory equipment.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Participate in curriculum planning, school events, ICT initiatives, and professional development programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate technology into interdisciplinary projects.
  • Maintain lesson plans, reports, and documentation as per school systems and timelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science/IT/Technology or relevant field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school (preferred).
  • Exposure to coding platforms, digital tools, and classroom technology will be an advantage.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong command over computer applications, software tools, and basic programming languages.
  • Ability to use digital tools such as LMS platforms, Smart Class software, and educational applications.

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Student-centric approach, patience, and classroom adaptability.
  • Strong organisational skills, professionalism, and collaborative mindset.

Work Environment

  • Full-time on-campus role.
  • Involves classroom teaching, lab supervision, and participation in school functions, events, examinations, and ICT initiatives.

Remuneration:

As per industry standards and experience.
