We are looking for an IT Team Lead for our global client operating in the manufacturing industry.


Your responsibilities

1. operational site management & leadership

  • Disciplinary leadership: You will assume full disciplinary responsibility for the internal team on site (at the moment 7 employees, the intention is to further increase the team in the long term) and ensure its further development and motivation.
  • Local collaboration: You will work closely and trustfully with the local management team (e.g. HR, Finance, Site Management) to coordinate overarching site issues and ensure a consistent corporate culture.
  • Matrix collaboration: While you are in charge on site, the technical control of topics and priorities is carried out in close, cooperative coordination with the specialist departments at the German headquarters.
  • Cultural bridging function: You act as an intercultural ambassador. You will succeed in harmoniously combining German quality standards with the local work culture and establishing a strong "we-feeling" between internal and external employees.
  • Budget management: Responsible planning and control of the site budget, including the control of external cost centers.


2. Vendor management & quality assurance

  • Quality management: You act as a "quality gatekeeper". Through consistent monitoring, you ensure that external deliverables (e.g. code quality, documentation, solutions) meet the same excellent standards as internal services.
  • Control of external resources: You manage external service providers and freelancers operationally. Your goal is the seamless integration of external resources into our internal processes in order to effectively prevent silo knowledge.
  • Performance monitoring: Ongoing monitoring of the agreed SLAs and KPIs. In the event of quality deviations, you intervene proactively and initiate effective corrective measures.


3. Service delivery & process harmonization

  • Service security: Ensuring smooth IT operations (support, development, operations) in accordance with the targets agreed with HQ.
  • Process standardization: Implementation and monitoring of international IT standards (e.g. ITIL) and agile methods. They ensure that no qualitative difference between internally provided and externally purchased services is recognizable to the headquarters in Germany.


What you bring with you

Professional qualification:

  • Experience: at least 7 years of sound professional experience in an IT environment with demonstrable leadership skills (ideally for teams >10 employees). Experience in a shared service center or an international corporate environment is expressly desired.
  • Vendor & Quality Management: In-depth expertise in the control of external IT service providers. You understand how to contractually define quality requirements and consistently enforce them in day-to-day operations (e.g. via code reviews, quality gates).
  • Technical understanding: Broad generalist knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development to be able to assess work results in a technically valid manner.


Linguistic & cultural competence:

  • Turkish: Business fluent (C2/native speaker) - Mandatory for team leadership and negotiations with local partners.
  • English: Fluent in written and spoken (company language).
  • German: An advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Mindset: You combine a strong quality awareness ("German Quality Standards") with the necessary flexibility and dynamics of the local market.


Personality:

  • Assertiveness: You represent company interests in a binding manner and are not afraid to take external partners to task in the event of performance deficits.
  • Strong communication skills: Diplomatic skills in stakeholder management (towards Germany and local management) coupled with clear communication with suppliers.
  • Hands-on mentality: You are close to the action and check the quality of the results yourself on a random basis if necessary.
