The Role
The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring smooth IT operations across the organization. The role involves maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, and assisting in the implementation of new technologies aligned with company requirements in the UAE. Key Responsibilities Technical Support & Troubleshooting • Provide first-line and second-line support for desktops, laptops, printers, telephones, and other IT equipment. • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner. • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Mac) and applications. • Support remote users through remote access tools. Network & Systems Support • Assist in maintaining LAN/WAN network including switches, routers, access points, and cabling. • Monitor network performance and report issues to the IT Manager. • Support email systems (Office 365/Exchange) and user account management (Active Directory). • Ensure regular backups and data recovery procedures are functioning. IT Operations & Maintenance • Manage IT asset inventory and track issuance/returns of computers and accessories. • Handle setup of new workstations and onboarding of new employees. • Perform preventive maintenance on all hardware and systems. • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, and IT procurements. Cybersecurity & Compliance • Implement IT policies and security protocols in line with UAE regulations. • Ensure antivirus, firewall, and system updates are properly executed. • Support periodic audits and ensure proper documentation. Documentation & Reporting • Maintain logs of support requests and resolutions. • Prepare reports related to IT performance, incidents, and equipment usage.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. • 2–4 years of experience as an IT Technician or similar role (UAE experience preferred). • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office 365, and hardware troubleshooting. • Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). • Strong communication and customer-service skills. • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
