IT & Technical Support Specialist-Part-Time

Job Title: Part-Time IT & Technical Support Specialist (Engineering / Infrastructure Focus)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues in an engineering or infrastructure environment.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, servers, and IT equipment used by engineering teams.
• Support engineering software applications such as AutoCAD, Primavera, and other project management or design tools.
• Manage user accounts, emails, and access permissions in line with company policies.
• Monitor and maintain network performance, security, and data backup systems.
• Assist in IT projects, software upgrades, and implementation of new technologies.
• Ensure the security of company data through antivirus, firewalls, and other protective measures.
• Document IT procedures and provide user training to engineering and technical staff.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related solutions.
• Provide regular reports on IT system performance and issues to the IT Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Specialist, IT Support, or System Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with engineering software applications such as AutoCAD and Primavera.
• Previous experience working in contracting companies or engineering firms.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
• Experience troubleshooting PCs, printers, servers, and network devices.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and IT best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
• Kuwait Driving License preferred.
• Transferable residency (Article 18) is preferable.

• This is a part-time position, suitable for candidates with experience supporting engineering and infrastructure projects, particularly in contracting or engineering companies.
• The candidate should be familiar with IT requirements in engineering firms, including software installation, license management, and technical support for design and project management applications.
