<Job Summary>
We are seeking a dynamic IT Technician to join our team and support our technological infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance our computer systems and networks. You will play a vital part in ensuring seamless IT operations across our organization, delivering exceptional support to our staff and maintaining our high standards of service.

<Duties>

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization
• Manage computer systems including desktops, laptops, and servers running Windows operating systems
• Troubleshoot software problems related to operating systems, applications like Microsoft Office as well as our payroll and accounting system
• Configure and maintain computer networking components including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches
• Support IT infrastructure by assisting with hardware repairs, upgrades, and installations of computer hardware components
• Support, maintain, and revise in-house intranet system
• Monitor network performance and security to prevent unauthorized access or breaches
• Document incidents and resolutions

<Skills>

• Proven experience in providing IT support with strong customer service skills - internal and external
• Proficiency in computer management, hardware troubleshooting, and operating systems; including Windows
• Knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewalls, and operating network devices
• Familiarity with software troubleshooting for common applications like Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to create programs; establish reports in accounting system
• Ability to manage help desk-type issues efficiently
• Ability to manage network administrative-type issue efficiently
• Understanding of IT security practices including firewall management and network security protocols
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
• Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry is a plus

Work schedule is typically Monday through Thursday from 7 AM until 5:30 PM; this position reports to the network administrator and executive management. The wage rate will be dependent upon experience.
