IT Technician

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prompt and effective technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across the organization
  • Manage computer systems, including operating systems such as Windows and macOS, ensuring optimal performance
  • Troubleshoot software problems, including applications like Microsoft Office and specialized enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy
  • Maintain and configure computer hardware components, peripherals, and network equipment like LANs, VPNs, firewalls, and switches
  • Assist with the setup, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support organizational needs
  • Monitor network security protocols to prevent unauthorized access or breaches, utilizing tools like firewalls and VPNs
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system configurations accurately using help desk software and ticketing systems

Experience

  • Proven experience providing IT support in a fast-paced environment with a focus on desktop support and help desk functions
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
  • Hands-on experience managing computer networks such as LANs (Local Area Networks) and VPN connections
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting computer hardware issues and software conflicts efficiently
  • Experience working with IT support tools like Jira, ServiceNow, or BMC Remedy for incident tracking and resolution management
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while maintaining high-quality customer service standards
