  • Job Title: IT Trainer – Child Welfare Information System (CWIS)
  • Duration : long-term contract
  • Location : Durham, NC (Hybrid)
  • Interview : Webcam only

Job Summary:
This role is for someone who creates and delivers training for a government Child Welfare software system (CWIS).
In short:
You learn the system → make training content → teach people how to use it

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand the Child Welfare Information System (CWIS) and its real-world use by social services staff
  • Develop training materials: user guides, presentations, job aids, and eLearning courses
  • Design training content for adult learners, including interactive modules (videos, simulations, quizzes)
  • Deliver classroom, virtual, and webinar-based training sessions
  • Update and maintain training materials as the system evolves
  • Collaborate with Training Lead, Business/Agile teams, Developers, and SMEs
  • Review training content for accuracy and quality
  • Track learner progress and provide feedback or additional training recommendations
  • Support training logistics (scheduling, registration, session setup)

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience developing and delivering adult training
  • Experience with government or social services systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle)
  • Experience designing eLearning and computer-based training

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Child Welfare, NC FAST, or Medicaid systems
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/XML and web technologies
  • Familiarity with Adobe tools (Captivate, FrameMaker, Camtasia)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
