Managing OS administration, security, and performance for Windows and Linux environments
Setting up hardware platforms, virtualization, clustering VMs, and OS license management
Supporting hardware specification and catalog selection for servers, workstations, and network devices
Providing end-user support for software installation on virtual or physical platforms
Creating and supporting network plans, including switch and routing configurations
Collaborating with site installation teams for network configuration and troubleshooting
Applying and ensuring compliance with processes and standards
Monitoring technology evolution and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring 24x7 systems availability and managing obsolescence for active/passive devices
All about you
We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Communications, or Instrumentation Engineering
ITIL certification is preferred
CCNA/CCNP certification is preferred
Experience in OS administration (Windows/Linux), security, performance, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
Knowledge of network administration, IP addressing plans, firewall configurations, and switch/router setup
Experience with OS deployment tools and scripting for automated computer setups
Understanding of hardware and BIOS, including computer performance (CPU, memory, etc.)
5+ years of experience as an administrator in a multi-OS environment with 500+ nodes
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Experience with network/system management tools, asset tracking, and license management
Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to take on responsibilities
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and handle dynamic work assignments autonomously
Willingness to work evenings or weekends as needed
