Job Summary

As an IT Operations Supervisor, you will for managing and leading local IT operations for the Cannabis Expungement Board (CEB), including technical and financial operations. You will lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of an IT framework that incorporates technology tools and business applications to support the CEB and assist it to meet its goals, objectives, and statutory requirements.
You will be the primary technical liaison between CEB and MNIT Enterprise for provisioning MNIT Enterprise Services locally at the CEB, and for managing all local operations services defined in the MNIT Service Level Agreement. Additionally, provide IT Operations leadership, expert advice, and guidance to MNIT and Agency leadership and IT staff; participate in the MNIT CEB IT leadership team to develop and implement CEB information system long range plans, strategies and set priorities.

This position requires an employee to be onsite at 1450 Energy Park Dr, St. Paul, Minnesota at least 50% of the time, with some opportunity to perform work from a telework location. Telework for Minnesota IT Services is available on a limited basis. Employees will be required to meet current telework eligibility requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Information Technology operations.
Experience must include:
  • Two (2) years of lead work or supervisory experience.
  • Criminal justice IT operations supporting case management systems in a legal environment, and a familiarity with legal workflows, case intake and document control.
  • Information technology project management.
  • Theory, principals, and practices of software and system development lifecycle development Knowledge of budget planning, financial reporting, and procurement processes.
  • Ability to deliver effective verbal or written messages that facilitate a mutual understanding on both parties.
  • Customer service skills that include active listening, empathy, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of State of Minnesota procurement systems, rules, laws, and practices sufficient to ensure division procurement practices are consistent with rules and laws.
  • Proficient awareness in creating and maintaining strategic technology legal industry trends in technology: case management, e-discovery, document automation, etc., to recommend enhancements or new capabilities with a focus on data management roadmaps and establishing priorities within intricate and continuously evolving system environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure and demonstrated capability in strategic cloud infrastructure planning.
  • Be able to translate intricate technical matters into accessible language, including the ability to discern and articulate the business significance and consequences of diverse technical solutions to MNIT leadership and CEB business stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
