IT/WordPress Support Specialist

Xamtac is a Chicago-based digital marketing agency and AI-driven marketing platform that treats “marketing as a science,” blending advanced AI with collaboration tools and a PPC dashboard to help brands plan, launch, and analyze multi-channel campaigns. Its services span Google & Facebook Ads, SEO, email marketing, influencer marketing, website creation, analytics, and white-label solutions, all delivered with a data-driven, transparent process and a performance dashboard clients can monitor.

We are looking for a WordPress/IT Support Specialist with strong technical expertise in website hosting, domain management, DNS configuration, and email setup to join our growing operations team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, optimizing, and managing the backend systems that keep websites and digital assets running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot WordPress websites hosted primarily on CloudWays.
• Perform WordPress installations, migrations, updates, and ongoing maintenance.
• Troubleshoot PHP-related issues, plugin conflicts, and backend errors within WordPress environments.
• Handle domain and DNS management using EasyDNS, including A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
• Set up, configure, and troubleshoot email DNS and deliverability, including authentication and routing issues.
• Manage SSL certificates, redirects, downtime issues, and basic performance optimizations.
• Provide IT and technical support for website, hosting, domain, and email-related issues to internal teams and clients.
• Coordinate with developers and third-party support teams to resolve escalated hosting or DNS issues.
• Maintain clear documentation for DNS setups, hosting configurations, and issue resolutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing WordPress websites and hosting environments.
• Strong practical experience with CloudWays hosting.
• Hands-on expertise in EasyDNS and email DNS configuration (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
• Working knowledge of PHP for debugging and minor customizations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot WordPress performance, downtime, and configuration issues.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple support tasks efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
