We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX.

Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) – Also known as PHM, HUMS, CBM, Health Monitoring

Bring your experience and ideas and help us develop vehicle health awareness capabilities for the next generation of Army rotorcraft.You’ll work with design engineers to select sensors and develop algorithms for a wide range of systems on the aircraft to estimate current and future system health as well as diagnosing and isolating system failures.This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers and subcontractors. You’ll be able to hone your technical abilities on significant engineering problems, all while gaining experience in leadership and communication.

What you’ll be doing as a IVHM Engineer:

  • Implement diagnostics strategy and modeling for system fault detection and fault isolation.
  • Design system health monitoring applications, including optimal sensor complement and sensor placement. Develop algorithms to use this sensor data to assess system health and remaining useful life.
  • Specify and implement condition-based maintenance qualification strategy and testing and help to plan and monitor lab and flight testing.
  • Implement aircraft and system usage monitoring and configuration tracking approaches.
  • Perform budget estimating and management tasks.

Skills You Bring To this Role:

  • Ability to prioritize work, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.
  • Excellent communicator, must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to include intermediate to advanced level knowledge in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Qualifications

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Minimum two years of experience in diagnostics related to Vehicle Health Management Systems (Aviation industry preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
  • Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
