Janitor

Job Duties:

• Empties trash cans which are 55 gallon drums unto dumpster, lays can down and pulls bags out.
• Distributes and maintains safety supplies to include gloves, ear plugs, helmets, respitator equip.
• Receives and stocks housekeeping and safety supplies.
• Distributes or refills housekeeping related items such as soap dispenser, paper towel holders, toilet paper.
• General cleaning - wipe tables, mop floors, clean toilets, shower, offices, lunch rooms.
• Dumps trash in shop floor offices, clean windows, and sweet steps.
• Mow grass in the spring, summer, and fall.

Job Requirements:

• Strong work ethic along with attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at times.
• Repetitive standing, bending, twisting, and lifting required
• Utilize necessary safety equipment to maintain a safe working environment
• Candidates are required to successfully pass pre-employment screenings including background check, physical examination, and substance abuse screenings
• Internal metatarsal steel toe boots (minimum 6" height) and other PPE required
• Must be able to work without close supervision and complete all assigned task.
• Capable of working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, equipment and processes producing high noise levels, dust and other physical demands.

Preferred skills:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1-3 years janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment
