JANITOR

We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Janitor to join our team at a federal facility. This position offers a great opportunity to work in a structured environment, helping maintain cleanliness and safety at a high standard. As a janitor with GENCO General Contractors of PR Corp., you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations and ensuring a sanitary and well-maintained workplace

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Some basic janitorial reporting like cleaning inspections, inventory, and others
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing
• Clean windows and mirrors, and supply restrooms
• Remove waste and empty trash cans
• Maintain the cleaning cart, indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies
• Organize janitorial storage areas
• Notify Supervisors about unsafe or concerning conditions that need repairs or maintenance
• Vacuuming carpets and mats, sweeping/mopping floor, and tile cleaning

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial services
• Familiarity with janitorial tools and equipment
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Must be able to pass a background check (Position is in Federal Facility)
• Applicants must be able to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision and as part of a team.
• Must be physically capable of lifting to 50 lbs., walking, standing, squatting, and kneeling frequently
