POSITION SUMMARY:
The Janitor is responsible for ensuring cleanliness and general upkeep of NAC facilities. This includes maintaining common areas, office space, preparing units for new residents and supporting maintenance staff as needed. The roles requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to health and safety and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities

Cleaning all community and common areas, including daily removal of trash and debris.

Cleaning rooms or units once the space has been vacated.

Reporting maintenance needs and any future or preventative repairs to maintenance on site or to Supervisor.

Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper storage.

Ensuring all NAC equipment is cared for and maintained in proper working conditions.

Assisting maintenance technicians with maintenance related tasks as requested.

Willing to work evenings or weekends (on-call) in case of an emergency.

Completing other tasks as assigned by management.
EDUCATIONAL/WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:

High School Diploma or GED preferred.

One (1) year experience in janitorial service grounds or custodial maintenance experience.
SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

Experience using a power washer, floor buffer, etc.

Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups.

Ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Demonstrate commitment to customer service and teamwork.

Proficient in basic computer skills; MS Office knowledge preferred.

Excellent customer service skills.

Effective time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Experience in working with the Native American population preferred.

Able to perform the physical functions listed below.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Able to stand, bend or kneel for long periods.

Able to climb (ladders, etc.).

Able to lift 60 lbs., or more.

Able to reach above shoulder height.

Able to crawl on any type of surface.

Operate in an outdoor or maintenance shop environment
