JOB SUMMARY: (See the Job Description for a comprehensive list of duties):

The responsibility of the Janitorial and Laundry Associate is to maintain sanitary conditions and or laundry services in assigned areas of the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

Sweep all walkways
Gather and empty all trash inside and outside of the facility
Clean, service, and supply all restrooms and common areas
Clean inside windows
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
Run floor machine to clean large floor areas
Cleans and maintains offices areas, (sweeping, mopping, dusting furniture and ceiling vents)
Clean and maintain cafeteria (sweeping and mopping floors, microwaves, refrigerator, shelving, and empty trash

Takes trash to compactor
Operates laundry machines
Sorts dirty laundry
Sorts and hangs clean smocks
Collects dirty laundry cards around the facility
Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum education needed.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English or Spanish, such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete checklists.
