Janitorial Staff

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Janitorial Staff are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of assigned areas to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment. The role supports the organization by ensuring that classrooms, offices, and common areas remain well-maintained and sanitary at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean classrooms, offices, corridors, and washrooms daily.
• Dispose of waste according to hygiene standards.
• Refill cleaning and sanitation supplies as needed.
• Report maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety and cleanliness protocols.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Basic literacy preferred (ability to read instructions and follow guidelines).
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facility
• maintenance.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, chemicals, and equipment usage.
• Understanding of hygiene standards and sanitation procedures.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
• Responsible, punctual, and disciplined in performing assigned duties.
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and maintain cleanliness standards consistently.
