Janitorial Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Worker to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in various cleaning and custodial tasks, ensuring a hygienic and well-organized environment. This role is vital in supporting the overall upkeep of commercial, residential, or industrial spaces, contributing to a positive and professional atmosphere for staff and visitors alike.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
• Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
• Handle custodial responsibilities including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and surface sanitation
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues to management
• Use industrial cleaning tools for specialized tasks like carpet cleaning or deep sanitation when required
• Support residential painting or light maintenance projects as needed to enhance facility appearance
• Ensure all work areas are safe, organized, and compliant with health standards at all times

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or industrial cleaning environments
• Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery and tools efficiently and safely
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety standards
• Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices and residential painting is a plus

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
