Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, acting as the welcoming face of our restaurant.
• Take accurate orders using POS systems ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are clearly communicated.
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, upsell specialty dishes and beverages, and recommend pairing options to enhance the dining experience.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety protocols.
• Manage guest inquiries promptly, address concerns professionally, and ensure overall guest satisfaction through attentive service.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments via POS systems, and manage cash handling responsibilities with integrity.
• Assist with food handling, sanitation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with Japanese cuisine backgrounds.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS or Square POS
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest relations effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume shifts.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience in a nightclub or hospitality setting is advantageous.
