Java Engineer

We’re building an exceptional team of software engineers to help bring technical excellence to new and existing projects. You’ll be working on highly-impactful projects at global scale, bringing clean code, good design and cloud architecture, modern automated testing, TDD, refactoring, CI/CD, and simple good taste software engineering. Responsibilities

• 
  Implementing features in a test-driven style.

• Improving the design and architecture of existing applications to allow for greater flexibility and scale.

• Creating fast, clean, reproducible build processes.

• Evaluating new libraries, tools, and technologies, to bring continuous improvement and technical excellence to the organisation.

• Analyzing and improving application performance.

• Working with agility in an environment where teamwork and creativity are the keys to success.

Requirements

• 
  Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience writing and deploying production code.

• Knowledge of Java, incl. experience with Spring Boot and Gradle.

• Experience writing automated tests and using TDD.

• You are a team player, able to collaborate with others in the team and across the organisation.

• Excellent English, both verbal and written.

• Jersey City office location, 3 days per week.

• BS/BA or equivalent degree in computer science or similar.
  

Nice to have

• 
  Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.

• Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated industry.
