Overview:
A Jewellery Designer is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing unique and high-quality jewellery pieces that reflect current market trends and brand identity. This role involves both creative and technical expertise, from sketching ideas to coordinating production.Key Responsibilities:
- Create innovative jewellery designs for collections and custom projects.
- Develop detailed sketches, 3D CAD models, and technical specifications for production.
- Research fashion trends, consumer preferences, and materials to inspire new designs.
- Select gemstones, metals, and finishes based on design and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with production teams, craftsmen, and suppliers to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Review prototypes and samples for quality control and make necessary design adjustments.
- Maintain design archives and documentation for future reference.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in design software such as Rhino, Matrix, AutoCAD, or Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong artistic sense, creativity, and attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of gemstones, metals, and jewellery manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
