Join our dynamic team as a Jig Maintenance Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our production processes. You will be responsible for inspecting and repairing jigs and tools that are essential to our operations, responding swiftly to issues that arise, and maintaining the high standards of quality our products are known for.
Inspection and Repair:
Regularly inspect and repair jigs and tools to guarantee optimal performance and reliability, keeping our production line running smoothly.
Troubleshooting:
Utilize your expertise to read product drawings and troubleshoot dimensional quality issues, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards.
As-Built Analysis:
Dive into jig and equipment drawings to understand their as-built conditions, allowing for effective and precise repairs.
Material Management:
Take charge of ordering materials and parts, ensuring timely repairs of fixtures to minimize downtime.
Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing engineers to enhance jig designs for better maintainability, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Inspection Scheduling:
Create and manage a schedule for periodic jig inspections, proactively addressing potential issues before they arise.
Measurement:
Employ a 3D scanner (when applicable) to measure jigs, comparing current features to known good positions, and ensuring precision in our processes.
Repair and Adjustment:
Skillfully replace, repair, or shim location features of jigs when inspections reveal discrepancies, maintaining our commitment to quality.
Documentation:
Keep meticulous records of each repair, replacement, and shim change in our database, and update shim history as adjustments are made.
Fixture Management:
Disassemble and reassemble fixtures as needed based on the severity of repairs, demonstrating your hands-on expertise.
Machining and Welding:
Utilize your machining and welding skills to create and repair special case parts, contributing to the overall functionality of our jigs.
Education:
High School Diploma.
Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively with team members and engineers.

As a Jig Maintenance Technician, you will be working in a dynamic environment. You must be able to endure extreme hot or cold conditions, stand for extended periods, and navigate throughout manufacturing areas. The role also requires the ability to use hands for handling tools and controls, reach with arms, ascend stairs, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and communicate effectively. Occasionally, you will need to lift up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
