JIS Purchasing Intern: Summer 2026

Internship Overview: Jasper Innovative Solutions is seeking an intern to support our Purchasing Team for the summer of 2026! You will gain hands-on experience in automotive procurement, with a focus on sourcing and purchasing products for internal and external customers. You will support day-to-day purchasing operations, assist in supplier communication, and help streamline inventory and sourcing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the creation and tracking of purchase orders for customer products
• Communicate with suppliers to request quotes, confirm delivery dates, and follow up on open orders
• Help source automotive parts in accordance with quality and cost targets
• Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
• Support initiatives focused on cost savings, tariffs, supplier consolidation, and lead time reduction
• Participate in continuous improvement projects related to procurement and supply chain processes

Qualifications:

• College student currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management
• Interest in Supply Chain Management, Tariffs, and freight
• Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
• Knowledge of automotive components or mechanical systems is beneficial but not required
