Position Summary
The Tendering & Project Director will lead the complete project lifecycle from pre-qualification, tendering, estimation, value engineering, contract negotiations, project execution, commissioning, handover, and commercial closeout for Civil, MEP, and Interior Fit-Out projects in Oman. The role requires strong leadership in business development, tender management, project delivery, financial control, and client relationship management. Project Directors typically oversee project managers, control budgets, manage risks, and ensure successful project delivery.
Qualification Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in:
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Construction Management
- Architecture (for Interior Fit-Out)
- Master's Degree (MBA / Project Management) – Preferred
- PMP Certification – Preferred
- MRICS / CIOB / Chartered Engineer – Added Advantage
Experience
- 10–15 years minimum experience in GCC construction industry
- Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role

Key Responsibilities
1. Tendering & Business Development
- Lead pre-qualification submissions
- Review tender documents and contract conditions
- Develop bid strategy and tender execution plans
- Coordinate estimation, procurement, engineering, and commercial teams
- Lead value engineering initiatives
- Review BOQs and technical specifications
- Conduct risk analysis and bid reviews
- Negotiate contracts and commercial terms
- Manage client presentations and bid clarifications
2. Project Management
- Direct multiple projects simultaneously
- Establish project objectives, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Monitor project KPIs and progress
- Lead project managers and site teams
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Manage change orders, variations, and claims
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Drive project profitability and cash flow management.
