Joinery Carpenter — Job Description

Position: Joinery Carpenter
Location: Dubai, UAE
Salary: AED 1,850 - AED 2,000 / month (depending on experience & skills)

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, shop drawings and layout plans
• Fabricate, assemble and install wooden structures/components: cabinets, doors, windows, frames, furniture, panels, staircases, etc.
• Use hand tools, power tools, woodworking machinery safely and efficiently
• Prepare surfaces: trimming, sanding, finishing, and ensuring smooth and quality finishes
• Measure and mark materials, ensure accurate cuts and joints
• Repair and restore wooden elements; maintain existing fixtures as required
• Select and prepare wood and other material, ensuring durability and adherence to quality standards
• Maintain tools and equipment; ensure workspace is clean, organized, and safe
• Adhere to safety and health regulations
• Sometimes assist with or collaborate on internal joinery projects, working under supervision or independently depending on experience

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of joinery/carpentry experience (or as needed)
• Good skills in finishing, joinery techniques and woodworking craftsmanship
• Ability to use tools & machines: saws, routers, sanders, planers, etc.
• Ability to interpret drawings / shop drawings accurately
• Strong attention to detail, quality, finishing, joinery joints
• Physical stamina; willing to work possibly long hours, sometimes at client sites
• Good communication and ability to work within a team
• Valid UAE work visa (or willingness to convert), or employer-sponsored
