JOINERY ESTIMATOR CUM DRAFTSMAN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Joinery Estimator cum Draftsman to join our team . This dual-function role is critical to our project lifecycle, requiring a professional who can transition seamlessly from interpreting tender documents and calculating costs to producing precise technical shop drawings.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wood species, hardware, and manufacturing processes specific to the UAE high-end market.

Key Responsibilities :

Estimation & Costing

• Conduct thorough take-offs from architectural drawings and BOQs.
• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for bespoke joinery items (wardrobes, kitchens, wall cladding, vanities, etc.).
• Source and negotiate prices with local and international suppliers for materials and hardware.
• Prepare formal quotations and technical submittals for client approval.

Drafting & Design

• Create detailed Shop Drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D) for production and site installation.
• Develop cutting lists and material break-ups for the production team.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, site measurements, and MEP requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to revise drawings based on site conditions or client feedback.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the Dubai/UAE Joinery industry.
• Software Proficiency: Expert level in AutoCAD. Knowledge of WoodWOP, SketchUp, or Revit is a significant plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of joinery construction details, material properties, and finishing (veneer, lacquer, solid wood).
• Mathematical Accuracy: Exceptional skill in calculation and cost-analysis to ensure project profitability.
• Availability: Preference will be given to candidates currently based in the UAE.
