Position Overview:
The Joinery Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of bespoke joinery projects from design through to installation. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple joinery projects simultaneously, from tender through completion.
- Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop detailed work programs and budgets.
- Coordinate with design, production, and installation teams to ensure accurate fabrication and timely delivery.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, and clients to clarify design intent and resolve technical or logistical issues.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, cost reports, and progress documentation.
- Lead project meetings, providing clear updates and managing change orders or variations.
- Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and site resources in collaboration with the purchasing team.
- Ensure all joinery works meet quality control standards and client specifications.
- Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in joinery, carpentry, or interior fit-out.
- Strong understanding of bespoke joinery fabrication, materials, and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Knowledge of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations.
Education & Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in joinery or interior fit-out.
- Experience managing high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects advantageous.
