Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in residential new construction, demonstrating proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Duties

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with high voltage systems as well as low voltage applications.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Previous experience on construction sites is essential
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.

Pay: $34.27 - $41.27 per hour
