Journeyman Electrician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems with precision and professionalism. Duties

• Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage circuits on various construction sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to execute precise installations.
• Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and ensure proper system operation.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical components to support automation projects.
• Follow NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to guarantee safe and compliant electrical work.
• Collaborate with construction teams such as frame carpenters and general contractors during renovation or new build projects.
• Conduct inspections of electrical systems, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols including high voltage procedures and low voltage wiring standards.
• Assist with schematic reading and interpretation for complex electrical systems involving industrial control panels or schematics.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with strong knowledge of industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage wiring.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other electrical testing devices.
• Familiarity with NEC regulations to ensure code-compliant installations and repairs.
• Construction site experience including renovation projects and new builds across diverse environments.
• Ability to interpret schematics accurately while working independently or as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices including working at heights or in confined spaces when necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
