Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations.
- Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to diagnose issues and verify system functionality.
- Conduct facilities maintenance tasks including lighting upgrades, wiring repairs, and system upgrades in residential, commercial, or manufacturing settings.
- Perform welding tasks as needed for structural or equipment modifications.
- Supervise apprentices or junior technicians on electrical projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance history, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification with proven electrical experience in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with experience reading schematics and technical diagrams.
- Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Experience with welding techniques relevant to electrical installations or repairs.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices including troubleshooting electrical issues in manufacturing or facility settings.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
- Supervising experience is preferred to lead projects or teams effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, working at heights, and handling tools safely.
