Journeyman Painter

Sawtooth Concepts Painting is looking for a Journeyman Painter to perform skilled painting jobs on interior and exterior structures.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare work areas with drop cloths, tapes and masks as needed, and remove fixtures
• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to equipment, buildings, and other structures using brushes, sprayers, or rollers
• Prepare surfaces by applying primers and sealers
• Perform general site clean-up, removes debris and trash from work site daily
• Move, load, and unload materials
• Assist in light construction work if necessary
• Properly use a 6-foot ladder
• Paint and assist other painters
• Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
• Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training (Scissor Lift, boom lift etc.)

We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5 Years of experience in commercial painting, with a strong background in both interior and exterior painting techniques
• Extensive knowledge in all aspects of the painting process
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, stand walk, push, and pull up to 100 lbs., reach above shoulder level, have both arms and legs accessible, and perform manual dexterity
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to occasionally sit, climb, crawl, and kneel
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly daily
• Ability to ascend and descend stairs, step stools, ladders, scaffolding, platform ladders, or mechanically elevated devices and be comfortable around heights and working on a roof
