Job Description: A prominent mid-size law firm based in Boston, seeks a litigation associate with two (2) to four (4) years of experience to join our Litigation Department. As one of the firm’s largest and most diverse practices, the litigation team represents individuals, businesses, financial institutions, insurers, nonprofits, and public entities in a wide range of business and commercial disputes in both state and federal courts, primarily in Massachusetts. Bar admission in other New England states is preferred but not required.

In this role, you will work as part of a team defending policyholders and insurers in matters such as catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death claims, construction accidents and defect actions, products liability, legal malpractice, municipal liability, premises liability, commercial motor vehicle accidents, and disputes over coverage and extra-contractual liability. You will be actively involved in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs; meeting with clients and witnesses; managing written discovery; and taking and defending depositions. You will appear in state and federal courts on motions and case management matters; prepare suit evaluations for insurers; and advise on coverage and indemnity issues under partner guidance. You will also contribute to trial preparation, support courtroom advocacy, and participate in mediations, arbitrations, and high-level settlement negotiations.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in business and commercial litigation
• J.D. degree from an accredited law school; admission and good standing with the Massachusetts Bar
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters proactively and independently within a team-based setting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
