A key role in the Coats Digital Marketing Team, the Graphic Designer for Creative Design is responsible for developing creative, compelling, and visually appealing marketing collateral/assets which support design, brand, product, and field objectives, driving increased lead generation and sales.
Reporting to the Creative and Design Manager, but provides creative support to the broader marketing team, visualizing and delivering world-class marketing assets (online and offline), and supporting the execution of campaigns to agreed timeframes and budgets.

Principal Accountabilities and Key Activities

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conceptualises, plans, designs, and produces a wide range of specialized graphic and/ or illustrative materials to include multimedia concepts, as appropriate
  • Refines images, fonts, and layouts using graphic design software
  • Applies typography techniques
  • Reproduce artworks in different sizes as per the requirements.
  • Adapt or flow content to the set templates e.g. PR & Case studies in English and other different languages.
  • Works closely with the field and internal marketing team for events and exhibitions
  • Plans concepts by studying information and materials
  • Illustrates concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
  • Obtains approval of concept by discussions or submitting mock-ups for approval through the superiors.
  • Keeps budget, time and production constraints in mind
  • Works within existing PowerPoint templates to create beautiful and legible presentations for our sales department.
  • Becomes familiar with brand guidelines, images, components, and overall brand identity, as well as the guidelines of our partner companies
  • Has the ability to learn new software, if needed, to accomplish projects.
  • Works well as part of a collaborative team, and directly with the Creative & Design Manager, Marketing Team, and outside agencies (when necessary)

Coordinate Services of Outside Vendors
  • Coordinates with vendors for outsourced collateral e.g. print
  • Makes sure artwork is correct and supplied in the correct specification before being passed to vendors

Education, Qualifications and Experience

Educational: Bachelors Degree minimum
Qualification:
  • Additional courses on Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ai Illustrator
  • Photoshop
  • Premier Pro
  • After Effects
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Time Management
  • Experience: 5 – 6 years

Masters in Fine Arts
  • Video editing software like Canva
  • Prior experience with vendor management
  • Understanding of design principles, colour theory, layout and other design principles.
