Jr. Network/NOC Engineer

The Junior NOC/Network Engineer at Veevo Tech will be responsible for managing IT operations, monitoring network infrastructure, and ensuring the availability and reliability of critical systems. This role requires proactive network monitoring, troubleshooting, and hands-on support to maintain seamless operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of networking, IT infrastructure, and data center management and be willing to work flexible hours when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network & IT Infrastructure Management: Configure, implement, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points to ensure smooth operations.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve network, hardware, and system issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• System Availability & Capacity Management: Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of IT platforms and services.
• 24/7 Engineering Support: Provide round-the-clock assistance for network-related incidents and outages, escalating critical issues when necessary.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: Use NOC monitoring tools to track internal systems and digital services provided by Veevo Tech, responding to alerts proactively.
• On-Site Support & Emergency Handling: Be available in-person during late or odd hours when required to handle network or data center disruptions.
• Server Management: Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual servers.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Conduct regular backups of network devices and servers to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
• Software & Hardware Installation: Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components.
• Data Center Power & HVAC Management: Oversee power systems, cooling (HVAC), and environmental factors to ensure data center stability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience in network/system support or NOC environment
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing & switching
• Hands-on configuration experience with devices such as Cisco, MikroTik, or Ubiquiti
• Working knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux
• Experience with virtualization platforms like Hyper-V or VMware vSphere
• Ability to independently troubleshoot network and server issues
• Familiarity with backups, RAID concepts, and basic data center operations
• Willingness to work in shifts and provide on-call support
• Preferred: CCNA or CompTIA Network+

This is a full-time permanent contract-bound office-based Job & the starting salary would be 35K-45K as per professional experiences + KPI allowances/bonuses, the location of the job is at VT PSH Office - Main University Road, Peshawar
