RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Monitor and control traffic, ensuring accountability for train movements on the mainline and the depot. Ensure operational quality (punctuality, availability, regularity) and records events into the logbook and/or any specific program provided.
- Supervise alarms and monitor the status of electrical and mechanical equipment along the line.
- Manage incidents, and breakdowns related to High voltage distribution.
- Report faults to the Fault dispatcher and all relevant parties.
- Coordinate train movements to and from the depot with the Depot Controller.
- Monitor passenger flows, regulates traffic, and coordinates with Station Masters to prevent station overcrowding.
- Control and oversee the power supply system (including the processing and distribution of high, medium, and low voltage as well as traction power) for the line and depot.
- Prioritize alarms and implement immediate safety measures in coordination with local staff.
- Make transmission to the relevant maintenance teams for intervention.
- Follow up with maintenance teams, the treatment of equipment anomalies or failures.
- Manage and control maintenance activities during revenue service and engineering hours.
- Carrie out relevant safety and operating procedures appropriate to the situation and event.
- Disconnect the power supply emergencies.
- Act as key contact for Station Masters and train drivers during degraded or emergency operations.
- Authorize emergency track access if required during revenue service.
- Provide infrastructure access for workers during engineering hours.
Observe and perform the work tasks and instructions directed by operations management.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Electrical Technical Education.
- Very good in Computer skills and dealing with specific programs.
- Management and communications skills.
- Fluent in Arabic, very good level in English.
- Balanced and know how to manage stress.
- Ability to conduct and combine multiple incidents.
KNOWLEDGE:
- Technical electrical education and computer skills.
EXPERIENCE:
- 0 to 3 years of experience, preferably in the railway industry.

- Living in Cairo or any city within LRT line.
