Position Summary: The Production Planner supports the coordination, scheduling, and execution of production activities to ensure efficient workflow, timely order fulfillment, and optimal resource usage. This role also assists with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, tracking material movements, and maintaining accurate inventory records to support uninterrupted production. This role requires a high level of coordination between production planning, material management, customer service, and shipping operations.

Competencies / Technical Skills:
Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, cross-functional collaboration, communication skills, inventory management, problem solving and decision making, adaptability, and customer focus.
Technical Skills: ERP system navigation, production planning, inventory control, and basic Excel proficiency
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, and move through a manufacturing or warehouse environment as needed
Work Conditions
Environment: Approximately 50% office-based for planning and systems work, and 50% on the production floor or in warehouse areas coordinating with manufacturing and shipping personnel, supporting cycle counts, and investigating inventory or job variances
Special Work Conditions: May occasionally require extended hours during peak planning periods, month-end close, major production transitions, or during the annual physical inventory process
