Jr. Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QS to join our interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate will support the cost estimation, tendering, procurement, and financial control processes across various residential, commercial, or retail fit-out projects.

This role is ideal for someone with a basic understanding of interior fit-out works who is eager to learn, grow, and develop a strong foundation in quantity surveying and commercial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) based on drawings, specifications, and site measurements.
• Support the cost estimation process during tender stages for materials, labor, and subcontractor works.
• Participate in site visits and quantity take-offs for both new and ongoing projects.
• Prepare and maintain measurement sheets, cost reports, and variation logs.
• Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor quotations and cost comparisons.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to gather material pricing and supplier quotations.
• Support in tracking project budgets, costs, and material usage.
• Prepare monthly payment applications, valuations, and final accounts under supervision.
• Help in reviewing and preparing variations, claims, and change orders.
• Ensure all work complies with project timelines, budget constraints, and company procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in interior fit-out or construction.
• Basic knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost control, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Planswift) is a plus.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced project environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
