Job Description

Functions Global is looking for a dedicated Junior SEO Specialist with at least 1 years of proven experience in SEO strategy, keyword analysis, reporting, and off-page optimization. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across multiple projects, creating SEO proposals, and delivering measurable growth for clients in Pakistan and international markets.

Key Responsibilities1. Keyword Research & Strategy

• Perform in-depth keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Ubersuggest, and others.
• Identify primary, secondary, and long-tail keywords for blogs, product pages, and service pages.
• Analyze competitors’ keyword strategies and create actionable recommendations.

2. On-Page SEO

• Optimize meta titles, meta descriptions, H1–H6 headings, URL structures, internal links, and image optimizations.
• Improve content structure and readability to boost engagement and rankings.
• Conduct SEO audits and fix on-page issues (indexing, duplicates, page speed, content gaps, etc.).

3. Off-Page SEO & Link Building

• Execute link-building strategies including guest posts, outreach, profile creation, directory submissions, niche edits, social sharing, and forums.
• Maintain a high-quality backlink profile (DA, Spam Score, link type monitoring).
• Build monthly off-page calendars and link acquisition plans.

4. Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare weekly and monthly SEO performance reports (traffic, rankings, backlinks, impressions, conversions).
• Analyze Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and third-party tracking tools to measure results.
• Present data-driven insights to the management and clients.

5. Content Coordination

• Work with writers/designers to improve SEO-friendly content.
• Suggest content ideas based on keyword gaps and trending topics.

6. Proposal Writing

• Create SEO proposals for prospective clients including timelines, deliverables, pricing structure, and strategies.
• Communicate SEO benefits to clients clearly and simply.

7. Technical SEO (Basic)

• Identify crawling and indexing issues.
• Review robots.txt, sitemap, schema markup, and Core Web Vitals.
• Coordinate with developers to resolve technical issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years of hands-on SEO experience.
• Strong understanding of SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, GA4, Screaming Frog, Keyword Planner.
• Knowledge of on-page, off-page, and basic technical SEO.
• Excellent English communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple client projects.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Basic understanding of WordPress, Shopify, and Wix.
• Experience with Local SEO, map citations, and schema markup.
• Familiarity with SEO content creation.
