Job Description:

A Junior Site Engineer assists in the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction activities on-site. Working under the guidance of senior engineers or project managers, they help ensure that construction projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications. This is an excellent role for candidates seeking to build practical experience in civil engineering and construction management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Assistance and Coordination:

○ Support in planning and organizing daily construction activities.

○ Assist in coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and on-site teams to ensure smooth workflow.

○ Help ensure materials, equipment, and labor are ready and available for daily tasks.

2. Site Supervision Support:

○ Observe and report on construction progress to senior engineers.

○ Assist in supervising site workers and subcontractors to ensure adherence to instructions.

○ Report any issues, discrepancies, or delays to senior staff promptly.

3. Quality Control Assistance:

○ Help check that construction materials and work meet required standards. ○ Assist in conducting inspections and tests as directed by senior engineers. ○ Maintain records of inspections, tests, and observations.

4. Health and Safety:

○ Follow and support the enforcement of site safety protocols.

○ Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately.

○ Assist in conducting basic safety checks under supervision.

5. Resource Management:

○ Monitor the use of materials and equipment to help minimize waste. ○ Keep track of labor and equipment usage as instructed.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

○ Prepare simple daily progress reports for review by senior engineers.

○ Maintain organized records of site activities, including materials used and work completed.

7. Learning and Development:

○ Gain practical experience in construction techniques and project management.

○ Take guidance from senior engineers to develop skills in site supervision and engineering practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

● Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

● Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and site safety regulations.

● Strong communication and teamwork skills.

● Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, AutoCAD basics preferred).

● Willingness to learn and work on-site under supervision.

Work Environment:

● Primarily on construction sites, with occasional office work.

● May involve travel to different project locations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
