Jr. UI/UX Designer

Job Type: Full time, On-site

Sofstica Solutions is actively looking for Jr. UI/UX Designer to join their team at their Karachi office. This is a full-time, onsite position. Interested candidates who meet the given criteria are encouraged to apply along with their portfolio links. No profile will be entertained without a portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
  • Translate product requirements into visually appealing designs for the mobile apps and the website.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
  • Create designs from the standpoint of user interaction, information architecture, workflow, visual design and overall usability - both for websites and Mobile Applications.
  • Brainstorm designs, produce mock-ups/prototypes and implements them with other developers and designers.
  • Help develop processes and collaterals for moving design along through development.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images.

Requirements:

  • Certification/Degree in UX/Web/Visual Design / Computer Science & Software Engineering or other relevant education.
  • 1- 3 years of experience in designing web and mobile user interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of story boarding, prototyping, wireframing, and web technologies.
  • Strong foundation in Adobe Creative Suite and proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Illustration and other relevant designing software.
  • Technical familiarity with GUI development tools.
  • Knowledge of usability testing principles.
