Job Overview:
As a WordPress Web Developer, you'll spend approximately 75% of your time developing, optimizing, and maintaining WordPress websites with a focus on high-performance, responsive designs. The remaining 25% will be spent executing and optimizing digital marketing strategies, including SEO, content creation, and local search optimization.

You’ll play a key role in building and enhancing clients' websites while implementing strategies to increase traffic and improve online visibility. You’ll also engage with potential clients to generate leads, contributing to the sales process alongside our leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

WordPress Web Development (75%):

• WordPress Development: Build and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client needs, ensuring responsiveness, functionality, and scalability.
• Web Design & User Experience: Implement visually appealing, user-friendly web designs based on collaboration with UX/UI designers. Ensure websites are intuitive, responsive, and optimized for mobile devices.
• SEO Integration: Ensure websites follow SEO best practices, including on-page elements (meta tags, alt text, structured data) and optimal site performance.
• Website Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve website speed, performance, and accessibility. Implement caching, image compression, and other performance-enhancing techniques.
• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for WordPress sites, ensuring smooth functionality, security, and the latest updates.
• E-Commerce: Develop and optimize WooCommerce websites, ensuring a seamless shopping experience and optimized product pages.

Digital Marketing & SEO (25%):

• SEO Strategy & Execution: Implement SEO strategies to increase organic search visibility. Perform keyword research, on-page optimization, and technical SEO audits.
• Content Creation & Optimization: Develop SEO-friendly blog content, website copy, and landing pages that drive traffic and engagement. Collaborate with content writers to ensure alignment with SEO best practices.
• Local Search Optimization: Optimize Google My Business and other local search listings for increased visibility in target regions.
• Campaign Analytics & Reporting: Track website performance using Google Analytics and SEO tools like SEMrush and Yoast SEO. Provide regular reports and data-driven insights to improve strategy.
• Social Media & LinkedIn: Optimize LinkedIn profiles and create campaigns to improve online visibility and client engagement.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience in WordPress development, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom WordPress themes and plugins. Must know Elementor.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient with WordPress development (themes, plugins) and HTML is a must. Option/Good to have: CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and experience.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, RankMath SEO, and SEMrush.
• Experience with eCommerce platforms such as WooCommerce.
• Familiarity with responsive design principles and mobile-first design.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for WordPress-related issues.
• Digital Marketing Skills:
• Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and local search strategies.
• Experience creating and optimizing web content for SEO.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for blog writing, client communication, and sales support.
• Bonus Skills:
• Familiarity with other CMS platforms.
• Experience with lead generation and conversion rate optimization.
• Knowledge of A/B testing and UX/UI best practices.

Pay: $50,000 - $55,000 per year, performance bonuses up to 50%.
Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
