Job Opening: Junior Accountant (Transportation Company)

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, including data entry, reconciliation, and supporting financial operations within a transportation environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record daily transactions (receipts, payments, journal entries, etc.)
• Assist in preparing invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Maintain accurate records of expenses and revenues
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Work closely with senior accountant and operations team
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and company policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3yrs. and above of accounting experience (UAE experience preferred)
• Familiar with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Xero)
• Basic knowledge of VAT filing and bookkeeping practices in the UAE
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
