Junior Accountant

Position: Junior Accountant
Experience Required: 2 Years (UAE Experience Preferred)
Industry: Interior Fit-Out / Construction

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the UAE, preferably within the interior fit-out or construction sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting in maintaining proper financial records as per UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and petty cash.
• Assist in bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and client account statements.
• Support in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial reports and schedules.
• Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams for proper cost allocation of materials and services.
• Maintain accurate filing of financial documents and records for audit purposes.
• Assist in preparation of VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Provide support during internal and external audits.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE (fit-out / construction industry preferred).
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT laws and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or ERP systems) and MS Office (Excel is a must).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills (English required; Arabic is a plus).
